I Talk To Dead People

© 2013 by Michael Jerling

From the album Halfway Home

Every day I know more dead people
It's not as sad as it might sound
The only way to know more dead people
Is if you're still around

I've got your address in my address book
But I won't send a birthday card
I've got your number I won't call you up
Long distance doesn't go that far

Still every day I talk to dead people
You might think that sounds insane
It's no big deal to talk to dead people
It's as natural as rain

I might search you on the internet
But I won't send you an email
I might play around with Ouija boards
But I know that I will fail

Time there's no
There's no time
There's no time

So someday I will be dead people
It's not as sad as it might sound
‘Cause every day I talk to dead people
You might just track me down

You've got my address in your address book
You could call I might be there
You could try me on the Ouija board
I just might give the kids a scare
